BIOGRAPHY: 

        Roswell married Rosa Louise Petitjean in 1888.

        At the time of the 1900 Census, Roswell was 35 years old, a general merchant, and living in Ironton, Sauk County, Wisconsin (Series: T623; Roll: 1816; Page: 183; District: 138), with his wife, Rosa (40), and their daughter, Iva M., 9 years old (b Feb 1891). 

        At the time of the 1910 Census, Roswell was 45 years old, a merchant in a general store, and living in Ironton, Sauk County, Wisconsin (Series: T624; Roll: 1736; Page: 200; District: 119), with his wife, Rosa (50), and their daughter, Iva M. (19). Living next door to them was Rosa's Mother, Judith Renaud (68), who was now widowed. 

        At the time of the 1920 Census, Roswell was 58 years old, a salesman in a grocery store, and living at 639 East Johnson Street, Madison City, Dane County, Wisconsin (2-WD - Series: T625; Roll: 1981; Page: 215; District: 119), with his wife, Rosa (59). They live next door to their daughter, Iva M. (28), her husband, Alfred A. Piper (38), a groceries merchant, and their children: David M. (3 years, 6 months), and Louise (1 year, 6 months).

DEATH: Roswell died between 1920 and 1930, in Wisconsin.

BIOGRAPHY:

        At the time of the 1900 Census, Iva was 9 years old, and living in Ironton, Sauk County, Wisconsin (Series: T623; Roll: 1816; Page: 183; District: 138), with her Mother, Rosa (40); and her Father, Roswell J. (35), a general merchant.

        At the time of the 1910 Census, Iva M. was 19 years old, and living in Ironton, Sauk County, Wisconsin (Series: T624; Roll: 1736; Page: 200; District: 119), with her Mother, Rosa (50); and her Father, Roswell (45), a merchant in a general store. Living next door to them was her grandmother, Judith Renaud (68), who was now widowed. 

        Iva married Alfred Asa Piper (b 18 Mar 1882; Wisconsin). According to Alfred's WWI draft card (dated 12 Sep 1918), he was a bakery manager in 1918, at Piper Brothers, 31 North Pinckney Street, Madison, WI. 

        At the time of the 1920 Census, Iva was 28 years old, and living at 639 East Johnson Street, Madison City, Dane County, Wisconsin (2-WD - Series: T625; Roll: 1981; Page: 215; District: 119), with her husband, Alfred A. Piper (38), a groceries merchant, and their children: David M. (3 years, 6 months) (b 18 Jul 1916; d Mar 1983), and Louise (1 year, 6 months). They lived next door to her Mother, Rosa (59); and her Father, Roswell (58), a salesman in a grocery store.

        At the time of the 1930 Census, Iva was 39 years old, and living at 719 East Johnson Street, Madison City, Wisconsin (7-WD - Series: T626; Roll: 2567; Page: 116; Enumeration District: 43), with her husband, Alfred A. Piper (48), proprietor of a restaurant; her children: David M. (13), and Louise (11), and Alice (4 years, 11 months); and her Mother, Rosa (59), now widowed.

DEATH: Iva died on 10 Feb 1967, in Madison,Dane,Wisconsin.
